To My Wonderful Dad

"The greatest gift I ever had
Came from God, and I call him Dad!"
~Author Unknown.

Happy Father's Day!

A Dad is a person
who is loving and kind,
And often he knows
what you have on your mind.
He's someone who listens,
suggests, and defends.
A dad can be one
of your very best friends!
He's proud of your triumphs,
but when things go wrong,
A dad can be patient
and helpful and strong
In all that you do,
a dad's love plays a part.
There's always a place for him
deep in your heart.
And each year that passes,
you're even more glad,
More grateful and proud
just to call him your dad!

Thank you, Dad...
for listening and caring,
for giving and sharing,
but, especially, for just being you!

I truly have THE GREATEST dad in the world! he is my everything! i know that i can always count on him whenever i need him, in times of need and in times of just needing a laugh. he has played a huge role in my life and i will be forever grateful to him for that. i found this poem online and fell in love with it, it explains everything about my dad so well. i will always hold a place for him deep in my heart. he is the greatest example of what an amazing father should be like. i have so many fond memories of my dad throughout the years growing up. and i will never forget them! i especially remember the time when i was having a terrible morning getting ready for school, i was good at throwing temper-tantrums in the mornings and getting my way to miss school...it happened too many times i think, but i remember my mom just being so upset with me, she asked me what would make me want to go to school, so i told her that i would only go to school if dad took me in his police car, so she called my dad and he came and picked me up and took me to school in his police car...all the kids were so jealous. thanks dad for all you've done for me throughout the years you truly are such a great strength and i do not know what i'd ever do without you and your love for me! you are THE BEST! thanks for all the memories. I LOVE YOU ALWAYS AND FOREVER diggly doo doo : )

  1. You do have a great dad. We are very blessed. That is a funny story about dad taking you to school in his polilce car. I totally don't remember that. Of course, that doesn't surprise you, does it! Just call me brain dead. :)
